Well, when I was searching for a name, the first thing I 'googled' was, obviously, names of ancient gods. I found the name and it looked like a good one, even better, it was never used for a programming language name!
Nona is the name of a minor roman god. Here's the definition:
Goddess of pregnancy. One of the Parcae with the Goddesses Morta and Decima, the Roman Fates.
As you can see, the purpose of this goddess is pregnancy, and it's a very good metaphor of the language's purpose, which is giving birth to programs and languages.
